6 New Cult Skincare Brands To Buy At Boots

Buying skincare is a bit of an art these days. Yes, the brands are brilliant, but sometimes sourcing those cult buys can be a challenge – even with the power of the internet. Why is why the news that Boots is adding some bonafide brilliant beauty brands to their repertoire is particularly thrilling.

Yes, the brand has been quietly adding new brands for a while – Rodial, Peace Out, Drunk Elephant, and StriVectin are all newcomers for the high street health and beauty retailer – but there’s new blends in town. Among them are Instagram skincare faves like Allies of Skin and PSA, as well as the long-standing facial must-haves from Emma Hardie.

Combine these new arrivals with the fact that Boots has also been busy adding to their makeup offerings in recent years – now stocking the likes of Nars, Fenty, Urban Decay, and Anastasia Beverley Hills – and you could argue that Boots is rivalling Space NK these days. (There, I said it!)

Here are the latest additions to the Boots’ skincare line-up to know about and buy now.

Allies Of Skin

Founded by Nicolas Travis in 2016 with only three products, Allies of Skin soon skyrocketed in popularity and is now a firm fave of Instagram influencers like Lesley of @freshlengths and celebrity MUA Ash K Holm. It arrived at Boots on June 2 and I’ve found the formulas to be smart and effective. Their “back to basics” approach means they utilise only the most potent ingredients – think retinol and vitamin – so that shoppers can get their fix of every necessary ingredient in one product. The price points are a little higher than you might hope (sometimes over £100) but the quality means they are worth it.

PSA

PSA was launched in 2020 by the same skinfluencers behind Allies Of Skin with the aim of providing a cheaper alternative to their original products. The brightly coloured products feature the approach of powerful products, but on a budget. Meaning you can still get all the retinol and bakuchiol you want for a fraction of the cost. The line is super accessible and easy to follow, too, making it great for skincare beginners. PSA is available at Boots now.

Kopari

Founded by Gigi Goldman and Kiana Cabell in California, Kopari focuses on vegan and cruelty-free formulas for the body. As the name suggests, their main ingredient is organic Kopari coconut, sourced from the Philippine Islands, which are then 100% cold-pressed for use in scrubs, moisturisers, and other skin-polishing and nourishing goodies. The range is launching only arrived in Boots on June 16, so do rush to snap it up. Try the Pink Souffle Body Mask and coconut scrub which is as delicious as it smells. (Read: very.)

Emma Hardie

Emma Hardie is known for its incredible cleansing balm, which is beloved by skincare experts, facialists, and beauty editors alike. But the range has a lot more to offer as well as the best-selling Moringa balm, including face oil, masks, and serums. The products are natural and cruelty-free, and harness the power of botanicals. Also only became available at Boots on June 16.

Patchology

Available from June 16, Patchology makes masking simple. The brand focuses on sheet masks that target different concerns, from dehydration or dullness. And the formulations are so powerful, that most of them take only take five minutes, making them ideal for quick morning masking. As well as their basic facial sheet masks, they also now do masks for hands and feet, as well as other areas you may not think about, like lips and under eyes.

Erborian

Erborian is one of those under-the-radar brands that beauty insiders love. The Korean-French brand is renowned, among other products, for its beloved BB creams and glow-enhancing skincare. The products use sophisticated Korean technologies and high-quality ingredients derived from East Asia, such as centella, ginseng, and the Yuzu fruit. Most formulas are the perfect makeup-meets-skincare antidotes to heavy textures, which are ideal for the warmer months. If you’re new to the brand, you can’t go wrong with their CC cream or Glow Creme, and will be available to shop at Boots from June 30.
